Flower Embellishments

I’m always on the hunt for the best flower patterns so I can use them for embellishments and decorations.

I recently tried this very simple, quick crochet pattern for a puffy flower:

It was pretty quick and easy – but I was using a very splitty yarn (Caron Simply Soft), so those puff stitches were a bit tricky.  Here’s how mine came out:

1/2/2014 Update: I tried this pattern for crocheted daffodils.

They are pretty, but it involves quite a bit of sewing – first to put all the petals together, and then to stitch the middle onto the petals.  It’s really not too bad, but I REALLY don’t like sewing, LOL.
